I am Jonathan Stephens, a self-taught web and app designer. I've worked on projects for start-ups, small businesses, charities and churches. I care deeply about helping people grow, and their businesses flourish by creating beautiful, useful designs that make a difference.

I am a motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. In my twenties, I was a pioneer and co-founder of an international catholic charity. I started an eCommerce business in my thirties, initially selling on eBay, which led to selling on a self-built website. I learned my design skills as I iterated numerous designs.

I’ve been building Beardfish my web design business organically – through recommendations, word of mouth and working in partnership with my clients over the years.

I believe I stand out as a web designer as I have an excellent commercial understanding through experience. I understand the pain points and pitfalls  a small business faces and the necessity of affordable solutions.
